Dr. Vijay Kumar Williams was born on the fifteenth of October, 1937, in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. He lost his father, Henry Williams, a few days after his fourth birthday, and the roof over his head shortly thereafter. His mother, nineteen at the time, was forced out of her marital home, with her children in tow. Like all children his age, he loved to play cricket, but unlike most, could ill afford any distractions. His focus helped him earn a Masters in Sciences in Bio-Chemistry from the Rajasthan University.
Newly married and an Associate Professor in Allahbad when he felt duty call, Dr. Williams enrolled and joined the Indian Air Force and served during two wars. In 1976, he resigned his Commission and joined his wife in establishing and building Mount Carmel School.
All those who know him, call him a man of integrity with the courage to live by his convictions. Dr. Williams desires his students to have a personal relationship with the true and living God. He is a man of principles and has a deep desire to learn new things and update his knowledge. A strong disciplinarian, Dr. Williams is a role model for the students of Mount Carmel.

The founder and keystone of Mount Carmel, Dr. Mrs. Williams was the proverbial "accidental child". Born to Major Ernest and Louisa Cathleen David in Srinagar, she was a good twenty years younger than her brother who was already a fighter pilot in the Royal Air Force. Her mother, an educationist, was Principal of a girls school. The freedom struggle painted its portraits of hate and violence in the aftermath of partition, burning the images deep into her impressionable mind.
Having worked as a teacher, she knew her life's calling involved making a difference in the lives of children. And what an impact God has made in the lives of Mount Carmelites using her. She desires excellence in everything she undertakes. Her primary aim in establishing Mount Carmel was to provide quality education for children whose parents could not afford expensive education. She has served as the Principal of both Anand Niketan and Dwarka Schools.
