This is where it all began. Mount Carmel School started in July 1972 with twelve students in Anand Niketan. This building, located where Anand Niketan, West End and Shanti Niketan meet became operational in 1980. Today, this branch has over 3000 students with a staff of 250.
In 1984, this plot of land was given to the Society to house the junior school. With its unique circular building, this iconic landmark houses students of primary classes.
A little over a hundred yards down the road from the senior school lies the pre-school. Housed in Sector 22 of Dwarka, this school was inaugurated in April 2004. Children of junior classes attend school here, before continuing their higher studies in the main building of the senior school.
Mount Carmel, Dwarka started in April 1997, the silver jubilee year of the mother school, with 165 students as second shift in the Anand Niketan premises. It shifted to its present location in Sector 22 of Dwarka in April 2002. The school has approximately 3500 students and a staff of 300.
Housed in the diplomatic enclave of Dwarka is the youngest baby of the Mount Carmel family. Situated in Bamnoli in sector 28, this school became operational in 2013. Housing primary classes, this school has its own young student leaders and graduation ceremony. From here, students move into the main school in Sector 22.
In August, 2002 Mount Carmel Dwarka opened its doors and heart to the poorest of children from the slums of Goyla Dairy and Qutab Vihar. Teachers spent months trying to convince parents. Today over three hundred children attend school every day where their education, uniform, books and meals are provided for.
